Suada Dajçi Participates in 1st International Conference towards Sustainable Development

Suada Dajçi, a 3rd year student of the Economics Department, participated on the 1st International Conference towards Sustainable Development (TSD’ 2017) organized by Mother Tereza University in Skopje on the 27th and 28th of October.

She presented her research paper, “The Financial Crises and the Monetary Policy Responses: A Comparison between Federal Reserve and European Central Bank Policies,” which consists of a detailed analysis of the most recent financial crises, the means used and measurements taken by the Federal Reserve and European Central Bank, and the policies aggressiveness measurement undertaken by each. Her presentation was in the Economic Development and Policy session.

Suada reports that the conference was successful: not only were the details well organized, but the scientific papers presented were of great importance to the sustainable development of the Western Balkans. The conference provided a forum for academics, researchers, policy makers, and leaders to share insights and discuss dimensions of the topics presented. Furthermore, Suada reports that participation in this conference has helped her crystalize the topic of her bachelor’s thesis.

Suada strongly recommends that her classmates make the most of conference opportunities as well: “By attending different conferences, you learn a lot about all the topics presented, you learn how to perfectly write a scientific paper, and how to comfortably present in front of a room filled with successful people!”
