Epoka University Representatives in Triple Helix Technical Assistance Project, Practice Sharing Seminar.

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship with the support of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the European Commission organized Best Practice Sharing seminar on October 21st in Tirana. The purpose of this seminar was to share examples of best practices in OECD member countries and transition countries with local stakeholders.

Various examples of potential policy instruments to support Triple Helix partnerships were presented. These practices were presented from different representatives from different countries mainly it can be mentioned the Sweden Practice on Vinnova, the public innovation financing. Each of the presentations encouraged all the participants to get into constructive discussions. The other shared practice covered the Accelerator of Innovation in Flanders. The presentation of the Ljubljana Technology Park dealing with the Triple Helix Concept in Practice got the interest of participants as well as the Croatian Technology Park Varazin.

Two representatives of Epoka University were part of the round table: Assist. Prof. Dr. Eglantina Hysa, Head of Economics Department and Mrs. Erinda Imeraj, Research Assistant of Banking and Finance Department. The word of Mrs. Hysa was a notable one, as it was on behalf of the Academia of Albania and highlighted more the main concerns of this triple co-operation.
