Book Description

Financial services industry has experienced many investment firm mergers and hundreds of broker dealer firms have closed doors in the past fifteen years, 2002 - 2017. FINRA data confirms the decline in the number of registered investment representatives and broker dealer firms in the USA. In our analysis we find that this trend will continue for the next few years before reaching a stationary state. Investment professionals who have created a relationship based business model with clients will survive the trends. The report sheds light on the decline in the number of investment professionals, using FINRA databases and the household perception analysis uses household survey and interview data retrieved in the month of September 2017.
